The Talking Kone is a new concept in safety signs. It brings the humble safety sign into the 21st century with its unique combination of advanced electronics and ease-of-use features. The Kone is designed to operate in a wide variety of applications areas such as supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, warehouses, factories and shopping centres.
The Kone provides both a visual and audible warning to pedestrians of a nearby hazard, it has been proven in trials to be much more effective than its passive counterpart.
The Talking Kone has the ability to play 8 pre-recorded messages; the user can also record their own messages onto the Kone to suit specific needs.
Security is taken into account with the Kone, there are some very clever electronics housed in the Kone that are kept behind a lockable door. These electronics also include an alarm feature. Once the Kone is placed next to a spill the alarm function can be activated, the alarm will sound if the Kone is removed from this spot. In order to increase security further the Kone comes complete with a suction device that once implemented will take a force equivalent to 40kg to remove the Kone from its fixing, the force needed to remove the Kone will activate the alarm function.
